Hi! My name is Cherie Butler. I am so excited to be teaching first grade at Sommer Elementary this year. This will be my 17th year as a teacher. I have taught kindergarten for 5 years and first grade for 11 years. This is my eighth year to teach in Round Rock ISD. I graduated from Texas A&M University (Whoop!) with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and an emphasis in Reading.
My Family
My husband, Jonathan and I have been married for 22 years. We moved to Austin 8 years ago from Houston. We have two boys. Blake is at ut (not sure how that happened!) and Ryan will be a senior in high school this year. We also have a furry family member, a maltipoo named Chloe.
